Usar en inglés correctamente “The way”

On the way, in the way, by the way

These three prepositional phrases look similar, but they have very different meanings.

On the way – between the point of origin and the destination

In the way – blocking or obstructing something

By the way – incidentally

We stopped at the supermarket on the way to your house. – Paramos en el supermercado camino a tu casa.

There is a fallen tree in our way. – Hay un árbol caído en nuestro camino.

By the way, you were right. – Por cierto, tenías razón.
