Usar las preposiciones en inglés “Over, above”

Over, above

We use these two prepositions to talk about location. However, ‘over’ is often used with movement, like ‘to jump over’.  ‘Above’ is normally used to talk about the position of one thing in relation to another.

 

You need to be over 18 to see that film. -Necesitas tener más de 18 años para ver esa peli.

Hang that picture above the fireplace.  – Cuelga el cuadro encima de la chimenea.

She had to climb over the fence.  – Ella tuvo que trepar la valla.
