Como usar correctamente en inglés «But, except»

But, except

We use these two prepositions to mean ‘apart from/excluding something’.  Note that ‘but’ is also commonly used as a conjunction:  We can go, but we will get there late.  Be careful not to confuse ‘except’ with »accept’.  ‘Accept’ is a verb that means ‘to agree to’ or ‘to regard as true’.

You can have everything but the furniture.  – Puedes llevar todo menos los muebles.

I love all vegetables, except broccoli.  – Me encantan todas las verduras, menos el brécol.

Everybody has turned in their report buy you.  – Todos han entregado su informe, menos tu.
